10 Local Family-Friendly Brunch Spots

Who doesn’t love brunch? This is one of my family’s favorite past-times, mainly because it works well for our schedule while we’re in the season of napping children! Here are my top ten picks for family-friendly brunch spots in St. Louis. You can’t go wrong with any of them!

Katie's Pizza and Pasta

Katie’s Pizza and Pasta is a favorite for us for both lunch and dinner (artichoke salad anyone??) but we don’t talk enough about the delicious brunch they offer! Sweet and savoury options aiike, the brunch menu is vast with some seasonal changes here and there. Both the Rock Hill and Town and Country locations are perfect for a family friendly brunch OR adults only!

Bottomless mimosa and the arrabiata eggs! The cinnamon roll is also to die for!

City Coffeehouse & Creperie

a dad and his daughter eating crepes at a local brunch spot in St. Louis

This French-themed creperie nestled in the heart of downtown Clayton is a staple for my family! They have an extensive drink menu, savory and sweet crepes for days, and other assorted lunch menu items like sandwiches, salads, and more. There’s a patio for nice days, and the staff and ambiance are very kid-friendly. No worries about a mess here!

The Brittany crepe is chef’s kiss! Ham, spinach, eggs, asparagus, hollandaise sauce … YUM!

Half and Half

Another breakfast spot not to miss, just down the road from the Creperie, is Half and Half! This eclectic eatery has a menu that will leave you wanting one of everything. They do also serve a nice lunch if you arrive past the brunch hour! This one fills up quickly, so be prepared for a wait.

If you’re looking for sweet, go for the Clara Cakes! If you’re looking for savory, you’ll love the Ham and Gruyere omelet or the biscuits and gravy!

Clover and the Bee

The Clover and The Bee, a St. Louis area eatery with green velvet booths and colorful floral murals on the walls

Clover and the Bee is the most charming coffee shop tucked into darling downtown Webster. This cafe’s amazing food is only matched by the dreamy decor (think green velvet booths, gorgeous floral murals, gold finishings) and the kindest staff. This is the perfect spot for a family brunch or coffee with a girlfriend! All are welcome here.

Lavendar latte, any pastry from the front of the house, and the strata is chef’s kiss.

This quaint neighborhood cafe located at the corner of Lindell and Forsyth is bustling with locals, so you know it’s good! They’re perhaps most well known for their gorgeous cookies, and their menu is filled with classics. Very kid and family-friendly.

Look for the polka dots!

The Barn

The Barn is a gathering place for Crestwood and the neighboring communities. Great food and caring friends are good for the soul! They serve breakfast and lunch every day, Wednesday through Sunday. Don’t forget about their awesome homemade desserts! The Barn is a boutique caterer, so they can also host events from casual to fancy!
The Ragin’ Cajun and their extensive mimosa menu.

Rooster, part of the Baileys’ restaurant family, is a European-style urban cafe specializing in crepes, sandwiches, and brunch fare along with a unique selection of coffee, craft beer, and award-winning Bloody Marys and mimosas! All of their dishes are made in-house, with locally sourced ingredients from farms across Missouri. This is a must-try!

Go for the Rooster Slinger or the french toast.

La Bonne Bouchée

a bakery display of French pastries at la Bonne bouchée, one of St. Louis’ local family-friendly brunch spots

This French patisserie and cafe in Creve Coeur is fun for the whole family! With a relaxed atmosphere and Parisian decor, you’ll enjoy a relaxed meal with brunch classics. But be sure to save room for a delectable French dessert or pastry … you’ll be mesmerized by all the goodies on display.

Start with the continental breakfast … that’s how the French do it!

Wolf Cafe

The Wolf Cafe, a colorful, healthy spot for brunch in St. Louis

The Wolf Cafe is eclectic, artsy, and inviting, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to create unique dishes that not only check the healthy box but also satisfy your tastebuds. There is something for the whole family! The friendly staff makes you feel right at home, and there is even an outdoor patio space!

The avocado toast, breakfast bowls, and homemade pastries are a must!

The Annex

a brunch cafe

While a newcomer to the STL food scene, the Annex has made a name for themselves FAST. It’s hard to know where to begin sharing what’s great here! From their curated market filled with jams, candies, spices, breads, locally sourced goods, and specialty items to their extensive drink menu, mouth watering breakfast sandwiches, and heavenly pastries! My favorite part of the Annex is the covered outdoor patio. Heated in the winter and shady in the summertime, this is a wonderful spot for families!
