Looking for a Mardi Gras celebration the whole family can enjoy, including your furry friends? Head to historic Soulard for the Purina Pet Parade, where thousands of costumed dogs take over the streets for the world’s largest costumed pet parade. And yes, you and your pup can join the fun, too!

The parade steps off Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., starting at 12th Street and Allen Avenue. Pet participants can register online now or onsite on parade day beginning at 10:00 a.m. A $10 suggested donation, benefiting Open Door Animal Sanctuary, lets you strut your stuff in the parade and includes a Purina swag bag filled with goodies from partner brands like Schnucks. Prefer to watch? The parade is free to attend and packed with colorful costumes, wagging tails, and a festive atmosphere kids and adults alike will love.
