Griot Black History Museum
The Griot Museum aims to gather, preserve, and share the stories, culture, and history of Black people, especially those with a connection to American History. They do this through the use of life-size wax figures, art, and artifacts to interpret the stories of African Americans. Their program contains an authentic slave cabin. They also offer puzzles, documentaries, and a model of part of a ship that replicates those used to transport Africans to America during the Slave Trade.

History Clubhouse at The Missouri History Museum
Learning history is a hands-on experience at the History Clubhouse, an interactive space specially designed for families. Explore downtown St. Louis, with re-creations of iconic buildings that stand up to 15 feet tall. For the little ones, the Butterfly House offers Caterpillar Corner, and the Exploration Station play areas. All of the updated libraries have enhanced children’s areas with cozy seating and easy book browsing. Three of the branches (Daniel Boone, Florissant Valley, and Meramec Valley) have added a children’s Discovery Zone, which is an inspired spot for young ones to explore and play. The Eureka Hills branch is next up for construction and should be ready by the summer of 2021.
