Ninja / Obstacle / Agility: Things to Consider
- Ninja / obstacle / agility classes build so many skills: strength, coordination, agility, and balance along with instilling confidence and problem solving skills.
- Kids are given the tools / equipment and they get to move at their own pace and speed within a group.
- Most gyms have plenty of mats to soften the falls (there will be falls!). Ask instructors if they teach kids “how” to fall in ways that protect them from injury.
- Make sure instructors are taking the time to show proper use of the equipment … you don’t want class to be a free for all, you want your child to be learning the proper ways to maneuver and best use their size and strength to grow.
