Favorite St. Louis Pastries for National Pastry Day!

This is definitely baking season for me, but for those who don’t have a drive to wake up early in the morning to get in the kitchen and start softening their butter, here are my favorite places to get pastry. (Stay tuned for my favorite overall bakeries coming soon!)

Nathaniel Reid Bakery

11243 Manchester Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122

This one is a given. Nominated for James Beard awards (a big deal), they serve the fanciest and yummiest pastries. Their almond croissants and Kouign Amann are my favorite! They also serve sandwiches, salads, and amazing treats.

La Patisserie Chouquette

1626 Tower Grove Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110

Talk about fancy pants! Their chef, Simone Faure, has been on a number of baking shows and brings so much character to seasonal items and themes. “The Darkness” chocolate croissant cannot be missed!

Pint Size Bakery and Coffee

3133 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63139

Known for making their treats in small batches, you might get a different selection every time you are in. If you’re up early on a Saturday, get in line for a prized caramel croissant!

Sweet Art

3701 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108

I don’t know if you would call cinnamon rolls pastry, but this is where it’s at! This was my go-to place when I had dietary restrictions because they are a vegan bake shop and café. They have a whole menu that is so impressive that it is vegan!

Believe it or not, I have not been to all of the pastry locations in St. Louis. Put your favorites in the comments so we can try them all!
