Nothing says summer like watching movies under the stars. As much fun as it is to project a movie in your own backyard, there’s something special about gathering as a community and relaxing together. Check out some local spots you can take the family for a movie night under the stars!

Prairie Farms Movie Nights at Ballpark Village

Prairie Farms movie nights are back in the Together Credit Union Plaza on select Thursdays all summer long! Don’t miss out on fun for the whole family complete with movies on the outdoor big screen, yard games, & more! Fun begins at 6P and the show starts at Dusk! Featuring face painting & family fun.

Movies at the Marketplace

Bring the lawn chairs and blankets to The Marketplace for an outdoor movie night! Grab dinner from the food truck, play games, and stop by the concession stand for all your movie goodies before the show. All movies are G, PG, or PG-13 and begin at sunset. Admission is free. Lot opens at 6:30pm. Movie begins at sunset (around 8pm).

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head out to Boulevard Park Amphitheater to enjoy Movies in the Park. Movies begin at dusk. In the event of inclement weather, the Rainout Line will be updated for movie status.  You may call the Rainout Line at (636) 202-2027 or view updates on the Parks main page. All movies begin at dusk!

Granite City Movies Under the Stars

Wilson Park

Movies Under the Stars which is a movie series shown at Wilson Park. Movies will run on given Fridays in the summer. Movies are shown in the outfield of Sykes Field and are free to the public. Please call the main office for the specific dates. 618-877-3059 

 

Edwardsville Movies in the Park

The public is invited to see free family movies one Saturday each month from June to September. All movies will be shown at Edwardsville City Park Bandstand located next to the public library at sunset.  Come early, lay down your blanket, take part in pre-movie community activities.

Lawn Chair Movie Night in Union City Park

Free movie series held on the third Friday evening of the month in the large grassy area next to the Large Pavilion. The movie series is free and family friendly. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and coolers! All friends of the community are invited. In the event of rain, the movie will be pulled under the Large Pavilion.

  1. Thanks for sharing our Dutchtown Movie Nights! It’s our fifth year running and we always have a great time. We invite folks from all over the region to come hang out with us for some entertainment and to learn about all the amazing things we’re doing here on the South Side!
