Summer is all about enjoying fruits and vegetables as fresh as you can find them, and St. Louis has its share of orchards where you can stock up on the freshest this summer!

 

Before heading out to pick your own fruit, please call ahead and verify hours and that the fruit is ready to be picked!

Throughout the seasons, our market  gradually fills with the freshest produce; beginning in May with the juiciest, reddest, and ripest strawberries that can be found.  Both black and red raspberries along with blackberries soon follow. Sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches, plus a variety of fruits and vegetables fill the market July through September.

Strawberry Festivals

Kimmswick Strawberry Festival

Historic Downtown Kimmswick

June 6 – 7, 2026

10 am – 5 pm

The Strawberry Festival will be bursting with fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry cheesecake, and strawberry iced-tea. Enjoy your favorite festival foods, too, like kettle corn, shish kebobs, funnel cakes, onion blossoms, BBQ, hamburgers and hotdogs and roasted corn on the cob along with many others.

There will be craft booths, home and garden vendors, a children’s petting zoo, bounce houses and pony rides for kids. 

Missouri Baptist Children’s Home Strawberry Festival

June 13, 2026

9 am – 2 pm

This year’s event will kick off with the craft festival at 9 am with the quilt and craft auction to kick off at 10 am. Wonderful strawberry-inspired concessions will be available throughout the day! This event is all indoors with plenty of parking!

This event is put forth by the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.

There will be craft booths, home and garden vendors, a children’s petting zoo, bounce houses and pony rides for kids.
