Summer Safety for Kids in St. Louis

June is National Safety Month!

Summer Safety Street

Hosted by St. Louis Children’s Hospital, is an injury prevention program for grades K-6 and it’s FREE. 

Topics covered:

????Stray animal safety

????Stranger safety

????Home safety

????Playground safety

????‍♂️Swimming pool safety

????Car trunk entrapment safety

 

Safety Town

Ages 4-6

This is a nationally accredited program to teach children how to play and stay safe. The program covers topics such as bike safety, police, 9-1-1, pedestrian safety, and fire safety.

Check your area’s local website to see if one is available near you! Available in Maryland Heights, Chesterfield, St. Charles, and O’Fallon. Each area has a residential and non-residential fee.

 

Play it Safe

Ages 6-8

This program is the next step for ages 6-8. It expands on the lessons learned from Safety Town and focuses on different safety topics, including water, in hands-on ways. Currently this program is being held in Maryland Heights.
