Where to Pick Strawberries near St. Louis

There’s nothing like a fresh strawberry, picked from the ground with your own hands. As the weather warms up and summer can be seen on the horizon, You-Pick strawberry opportunities are sprouting! Get your hands on one of summer’s sweetest treats at a local area farm!
Before heading out to pick your own berries, please call ahead and verify hours and that the berries are ready to be picked!

Eckert’s Country Store + Farms

Starting in May, pick-your-own strawberries at Eckert’s! A tractor will bring you to and from the strawberry fields.

Theodora Farms has not shared 2026 dates for Strawberry picking, but confirmed they will soon. The rest of the farm will be ‘fallowed’ meaning rather than farming the land, they will let it rest and rebuild for the season. This will not impact their UPick Strawberries.

Explore the farm and capture the moment at our many photo-worthy spots, then settle in for an easygoing day of music, food, and fresh air. Kids will love the pony rides, petting farm, children’s play area, and carnival rides, while adults relax, sip, and soak up the festival vibes.

It’s a joyful, all-ages farm festival full of flavor, music, and memories—exactly how summer should feel.

The Strawberry Festival will be bursting with fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry cheesecake, and strawberry iced-tea. Enjoy your favorite festival foods, too, like kettle corn, shish kebobs, funnel cakes, onion blossoms, BBQ, hamburgers and hotdogs and roasted corn on the cob along with many others.

There will be craft booths, home and garden vendors, a children’s petting zoo, bounce houses and pony rides for kids.

This year’s event will kick off with the craft festival at 9 am with the quilt and craft auction to kick off at 10 am. Wonderful strawberry-inspired concessions will be available throughout the day! This event is all indoors with plenty of parking! This event is critical to the agency’s financial stability and continuing the amazing work of caring for children, youth, and families who need hope, healing, and restoration. Support this ministry and enjoy shopping and eating while bidding on some amazing quilts and crafts.
