Nothing says winter fun like homemade Gingerbread Playdough!
I love making homemade playdough. It always sounds daunting, but itβs actually way easier than it sounds. And I am all about easy this holiday season.
My friend Bridget, the co-owner of my favorite local gift/favor company, Surcee, first made this playdough last year for my kids to enjoy. It was so fun with the spices and glitter. She told me she had this recipe when her kids were in preschool, and would gift it to neighbors with a few cookie cutters. I thought that was the cutest idea!
Today, I am sharing the love and below is Bridget’s playdough recipe for all the St. Louis moms to enjoy with their kids or gift to others this holiday season.
Homemade Gingerbread Playdough
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup salt

- 1-2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1-2 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 1 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1 tsp glitter (optional)
Instructions:
-
Place all ingredients (except the glitter) in a saucepan and keep stirring until it comes together in a ball.
-
Turn out on a cutting board and let cool and kneed until it feels like a playdough. Add the glitter as you are kneading it.
-
