In honor of the Salvation Army’s continued support of St. Charles County residents who are in need, the City of Dardenne Prairie will host their Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in City Hall Park. 

The evening will include musical entertainment by area schools, refreshments and other activities. Santa will be available for pictures. Please bring your own camera. 

Bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to the Salvation Army Toy Town. Donated toys will benefit children in the western St. Charles County area.

The 30th Annual Community Tree Lighting at Lincoln-Douglas Square will begin with the arrival of Santa Claus at 6:00pm. Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s Winterfest is back in Kiener Plaza!

The Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights returns in 2024 to usher in the holiday season in St. Louis, light The Salvation Army tree of lights and open Winterfest. This year the popular Enchanted Forest where visitors vote on their favorite decorated tree returns to the park, as do visits with Santa Claus! Take your own free photos with Santa! There will be a walkthrough night December 2, 2024 for anyone who wants to brave the cold and get an up-close-and-personal view of the holiday light show.

Walk-Thru: OPEN December 9 from 5 – 8 pm

This walk-thru event allows participants to enjoy the Holiday Night Lights display at a slower, more intimate pace. Attendees will stroll through the one-mile light display, experience enchanted scenes, twinkling lights and joyful carolers. After walking the illuminated route, come inside the Kolb Building, which has been transformed into a winter wonderland with decorated trees from local businesses and organizations, enjoy refreshments and get your picture taken with Santa!

Wentzville Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade

The Annual Tree Lighting and Spirit of the Season Parade are Wentzville traditions. Mayor Nick Guccione will officially begin the tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. in Historic Downtown Wentzville at the intersection of Luetkenhaus and Pearce Boulevards. The parade will begin after the Tree Lighting Ceremony is compete (approximately 6 p.m.) at Pearce Hall located at 317 W. Pearce Blvd. in Wentzville. It will travel down east down Pearce Boulevard and turn left to head north on Luetkenhaus Boulevard. It will and end at Station 1 Firehouse located at 502 Luetkenhaus Blvd in Wentzville. Following the parade, attendees may enjoy cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Station 1 Firehouse.

Shrewsbury is the place to be this holiday season! We’ve got an awesome Tree Lighting Ceremony happening on Friday, December 6th at our NEW location the Shrewsbury City Center. Hot cocoa, cookies, and Holiday music sung by the Hixson Choir to get you in the festive mood. And guess who’s making a grand entrance at 7:00 pm? Santa himself! Maplewood Christmas Tree Walk

Kick off in CNB Bank Park and continues through Maplewood

The kick off begins at 6:00 p.m. with caroling, the arrival of Santa Claus and lighting of the town christmas tree. After the kick off, enjoy merchant open houses, visits with Santa Clause, carriage rides, and more throughout downtown Maplewood.

From costumed carolers to horse drawn carriage rides, the Maplewood Christmas Tree Walk radiates holiday spirit that is reminiscent of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol!

After the grand lighting of the tree and the arrival of Santa, visitors can enjoy a carriage ride and sip hot chocolate while visiting merchant open houses throughout Maplewood. Business storefronts will be decked out for the season with many featuring live entertainment, complimentary refreshments and special discounts throughout the evening.

The Christmas Experience: A Drive Through Light, Joy, + Hope

Over the course of two weekends, you’re invited to drive through the Pathfinder Church campus along a pathway of spectacular lights synchronized to music, Christmas-themed inflatables, live music, Christmas characters, a live expression of the nativity, and so much more.

Christmas Candlelight Walks

Step back in time this holiday season during The Historic Daniel Boone Home’s annual Christmas Candlelight Walks. 

The historic village comes alive as guests experience different holiday traditions reminiscent of life in the early 1800s. Listen to holiday tales as you meander through the park, illuminated with thousands of candles, enjoy traditional carols as you sip on warm apple cider and visit the Christkindlemarkt in the Grand Pavilion.

Tickets for Village-Only tours are $10 each and do not include admission to the Boone Home.

Christmas at Collins House and Light Up Parade

Collinsville, IL

December 7 from 4 – 8 pm

The event will include an evening holiday light-up parade through Uptown Collinsville and end with festivities at the Historical Collins House. The festivities will include food and drink specials at participating Uptown restaurants, a Window Display Contest, a tree lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, bonfires and s’mores, and various family friendly activities.

Overland Christmas Light Trolley Tours

We are back with our popular Annual Christmas Trolley Tour. Tour dates are set for December 12, 13, and 14 with trolleys leaving at various times each night. Space is limited and tickets will go on sale starting November 30, 2024 at 8:30 am at the Overland Community Center.
