With over 200 families registered for this year’s Hanging with Heroes we knew we were in for an epic event, and Brentwood Park was the perfect venue to host us! With its mixed use of space, we were able to enjoy the outdoors and have the comfort of being covered under a large pavillion. The pavilion and event lawn were filled with laughter, dancing, bouncing, singing, and so much more! Not to mention the fun had at the playground and splash pad.
Thank you to all the families that attended. There’s no better way to close out summer and send kids back to school than hanging with heroes!

COCA also joined in on the fun by sponsoring our awesome dance contest. And Crossroads Family Chiropractic sponsored our costume contest! Tiny superheroes took to the lawn to show off their dance moves for a chance to win awesome prizes!
There was truly something for everyone! Thank you to our sponsor, Rohan Woods School for providing a bead bar. Even the smallest heroes at the bash had their own play zone thanks to Swap The Playroom! Tee Styles sent kids back to school in style with free haircuts and braids, complete with super awesome glitter. The Clowns put the finishing touches on the superhero looks with epic face painting. Me 2 You Game Truck let us live out our superhero fantasy with their VR video games. And St. Louis County Libraries Sweet Reads Mobile pulled up with free books for all attendees!
Families enjoyed a yoga session with Playful Poses and a storytime with local author, Ava + Mommy Publishing! And a huge thank you to Laren Loveless Music for getting the party started and playing our favorite tunes throughout the whole event!
This year’s Hanging with Heroes set the bar high for all of our future events. We had so much fun partying with you all! The fun didn’t stop there. This year we introduced a superhero scavenger hunt to the mix. The chase was on and the winning family located all the superheroes in record time! Thank you Pediatric Dentistry of Sunset Hills for sponsoring our first-ever scavenger hunt.
It was wonderful to see the entire pavilion filled with amazing vendors! From cotton candy to stuffed animals, there was so much to see! With video games and sensory bins, there was a ton to do!
