This library is recently renovated and the basement level is just for kids! There’s a wonderful discovery center filled with activities for children of all ages to do. Our favorite events were the weekly Lap Time and the Bubble Bus! Make sure you participate in the Summer and Winter Reading Program to win lots of prizes.

 

Jamestown Bluffs Library, St. Louis County Library

Little Creek Nature Area

2295 Dunn Road
An outdoor classroom, owned and operated by the Ferguson-Florissant School District. This nature area has a small barn with a chicken coop and vegetable garden, five trails, ponds, and a stream. Note- it is only open Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

 

Sullivan Farms

Whether you need pumpkins or Christmas trees- they have it! During the pumpkin season, enjoy bouncy houses, hay maze, and tractor rides. Plus, I love supporting a local family farm.

Sunset Park

Over 100 acres, walking trail that runs to the Missouri River (views!), pavilions, and home of the Sunset Nature Lodge. The Sunset Nature Lodge is great for any event. It has two levels and great views of the river.

Tennis courts and gazebo.

Valley of the Flowers

A three-day celebration at both the Duchesne Home Association Fairground and James J. Eagan Center. This event is held the first full weekend in May. Carnival rides, parade, vendor/craft fair, baby photo contest, performances, petting zoo, and other children activities.

 

 

Fiesta in Florissant

A two-day celebration at the Knights of Columbus. This event usually held in June and is filled with food trucks, non-stop music and performances, bouncy houses, petting zoo, and vendor/ craft fair.

 

Florissant Old Town Fall Festival

A three-day event throughout 11 blocks of Old Town Florissant (Rue St. Francis area). This event is usually held in October and has a chili cook-off, entertainment throughout the streets, children activities, food, vendor/ craft fair, cultural events, car show, and flea market.

 

City of Florissant Tree Lighting

Annual tree lighting, which includes music to kick off the Christmas season.
