Mom’s Guide to Local Free Activities

Brought to you by:

The Missouri History Museum offers free activities for families and kids of all ages, from exhibits designed especially for kids, to storytelling, to educational programs.

The History Clubhouse is the perfect place for moms to bring their littlest littles to play the day away in a space where kids can be kids as they learn about the history of their city. Each section of this gallery features a different era of the history of the St. Louis region.

History Exploration Days take place one Saturday per month and feature rotating topics based on regional history. Parents and their K-12 aged children are invited to learn together through gallery activities, workshops, and crafts.

The Museum offers several storytelling programs including Storytelling in the Museum on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30am, Museum babies on Tuesdays at 10:10am, and Cuentos en el Museo the 2nd Saturday and 4th Friday of each month at 10:30am.

As moms raising children of all ages in St. Louis, one of the things we have come to treasure the most about living here is the overwhelming number of FREE activities to enjoy! It’s not something we realized until we traveled around a bit with our children and realized so many other cities don’t offer half the free activities that St. Louis does. Here’s a comprehensive roundup of free activities to enjoy with your family and out of town guests!
