“I have always wanted to live in a town. No, not a city or the country, but a town. I wanted to live just close enough to a big city for fun and experiences, but not too far that I felt like a “trip” to the city was exciting. Honestly, Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls would be my idea of a perfect town. Well, cue Wildwood in West County. Okay, it’s not the ultimate Stars Hollow replica, but after living here for three years, I am pretty content. I love this town that we get to call home in St. Louis County, and if you’re ever on this side, I hope you end up loving it, too.“
“We have lived in West County St. Louis for almost 13 years now, and there is so much to love about this area! There are incredible playgrounds, parks, and family-friendly neighborhoods – plus, a huge draw is the top notch, highly-ranked school districts. West County also boasts numerous shopping areas and restaurants. With I-64 and I-44 easily accessible, most surrounding destinations are within about 20-25 minutes, including the St. Louis Zoo, Union Station & The St. Louis Aquarium, Hidden Valley Ski Resort, Purina Farms, and Six Flags, just to name a few! It’s been wonderful to establish roots here in West County!“

Living in the Lou: Chesterfield

“Seven years ago, my husband received a job offer, which took us from NYC to St. Louis. We explored the city as singles, married, and had our first child in 2018. Technically, I wasn’t “new” to STL when I became a mom, but I never explored with “mom goggles” on or had any local friends or family with children. Instead, I focused on my career and making new friends. And then, BAM, I was a mom! I wished for a one-stop-shop guide for a new mom in a new city as I transitioned into motherhood, as there is so much STL has to offer moms and their little ones. I am excited to play a small part in bringing this much-needed resource to life!”
