A good smoothie is my vice. Pre or post workout, as a meal replacement, an afternoon snack, you name it! After dropping my boys off at school one morning, I drove past a place called The Juice Bar. I immediately checked out their GORGEOUS Instagram filled with pretty pictures of fruits, veggies and picture perfect smoothies. I decided to give it a try!
The menu is equally as gorgeous with detailed descriptions of each juice, smoothie and bowl. I landed on the Blue Chocolatta and I’ve never looked back!
The atmosphere is clean, crisp and has a rustic/industrial feel. Each table is topped with a small succulent and there are couches to gather with friends and enjoy a specialty bev (or nosh on some of their vegan food options!). The thing that stood out to this mama…the “kids area” (sponsored by STL Sitter). They literally have a section of the store dedicated to keeping our littles busy!
No surprise that they have a focus on kids as the owner of the Juice Bar, Michelle Todesco, is a mom herself! Michelle is actually “super mom” status as she has 5-year-old twins! A few years back, she decided that she wanted more flexibility and time to spend with her kiddos, so she stepped away from corporate America and purchased the Juice Bar in Rockhill.
I was able to spend some time with Michelle recently at one of our STL Mom’s Blog events. We talked about our kids, her time away from her corporate role, and then I asked for 2 carrot/ginger/orange juices for the road as my boys (3 and 4) think that it is the best drink ever! Michelle is a power house and finds joy in helping others make healthy choices!
Some other stand outs of this awesome, mama owned business, they offer FREE WIFI! Yes, FREE. I plan on taking advantage of this as I am always looking for a great place to “work from home”. Why not saddle up with a yummy juice and one of their delicious food items while knocking out some conference calls?!
Stop into this spot and cool off with one of their summer time smoothies. The best part, every day though September from 3pm-5pm (Happy Hour!), they are offering $1 off smoothies! Grab your mama friends and the kiddos and meet up for a playdate while enjoying some fresh treats that will definitely help you beat the summer heat!
