Elise Genta Sprenger lives in Alton Illinois with a houseful of books, children (5 to be exact), and dogs- but just one husband. She was born and raised in the Metro East, and has long been grateful for the museums, history and rich culture available for those who claim St. Louis as home. For someone with a terrible memory, childhood trips to Cahokia Mounds, the Riverboat McDonalds, and doing gymnastics with Fred Bird on the field at Busch Stadium still sparkle in the recesses of her mind.
