3 Simple and Fun Recipes to Make for Your Little Monsters!
With Halloween just around the corner, it’s time to brew up some fun in the kitchen! These easy, spooktacular treats are perfect for a quick dinner or an after-school snack. They’re simple enough for busy parents to prepare quickly and yet packed with festive fun for the kids. Here are three recipes that will make your Halloween extra delicious and a little bit spooky!
Spider Pigs In a Blanket.
A creepy twist on a classic dish that everyone will love!
3 Ingredients:
- 1 package of Crescent Rolls
- 1 package of your kids’ favorite hot dogs (mine love Hebrew National)
- Black Sesame Seeds
Directions:
Unroll your crescent rolls and cut the larger triangles in half. Also, cut the hot dogs in half. Roll the dough around the hot dog halves, starting at the wide end of the crescent roll triangle and rolling towards the skinny end. Cut 2 or 3 slits (depending on how thick your hot dogs are) on each end of the hot dog that sticks out from the dough, when this cooks it will flair out like spider legs. Press 2 black sesame seeds into the dough as the “eyes”. Bake at 375 for 9-12 mins or until dough turns slightly browned and puffs up. Watch these disappear!
Vampires Teeth
My kids can’t wait to sink their teeth into this perfect & festive after-school snack!
4 ingredients:
- Apples – your kids’ favorite type, sliced thin
- Creamy Peanut Butter
- Mini Marshmallows
- Slivered Almonds
Directions:
Core & cut your apples into thin slices. Spread peanut butter on one side of each apple slice. Push 4 mini marshmallows as “teeth” into one-half of the peanut-buttered apples. Top with the other half of the peanut-buttered apple slices. Push 2 slivered almonds into the top slice of apple as “fangs”. Enjoy!
Mummy Pizza
Mummies aren’t just for ancient tombs! These yummy mummy pizzas are fun to make and even more enjoyable to eat!
4 ingredients:
- English Muffins
- Mozzarella Cheese, pre-sliced
- Pizza Sauce
- Black Olives, pre-sliced
Directions:
Halve your English muffins and slice your cheese slices into thin strips (think mummy wrapping). Spread pizza sauce onto English muffin halves. Add black olive slices as mummy eyes. Place cheese strips across the English muffin, leaving room for eyes to peek out. Bake or toast. I usually toast these in my toaster oven for 2 cycles or until the cheese begins to melt. Devour if you dare!
These treats are so fun and easy to make, your kids will be howling for more! Whether you’re planning a Halloween party or just looking for a spooky surprise, these recipes are guaranteed to bring a smile to your little monsters.
Happy Halloween! 🎃👻
