Presented in partnership with Burn Boot Camp

Local mom boss Chelsea Theodoropoulos has a heart to empower local women through her work as the local owner of Burn Boot Camp. Chelsea brought this national fitness franchise with a mission to instill confidence and strength physically, emotionally, and mentally through 45-minute workouts. Chelsea moved to St. Louis in 2017 to open Burn Boot Camp and currently owns and operates five locations, including Manchester, O’Fallon, South County, Kirkwood, St. Charles. Burn works hard to foster a strong sense of community at each location. And the best part? Complimentary child watch is included with your membership! This mom-owned business grant is made possible thanks to Chelsea and Burn Boot Camp!

As a Mom-owned small business, we know exactly what it takes to build a business while building a family. We know the countless hats that mompreneurs wear. Sending invoices while tending to sick children. Scrambling to send a follow-up email before pickup. A rushed stop at the post office on the way to soccer practice. We know Moms work around the clock to keep their businesses and their families afloat!

That’s why we are passionate about offering our support!

St. Louis Mom exists to encourage, equip, and empower local moms. And guess what? We love to give back to the community of Moms that we serve. We regularly host events and initiatives and promote content on behalf of local business owners. However, in addition, we want to invest directly in St. Louis Moms who own their own businesses and who are, in turn, giving back to our local economy and community!

The St. Louis Mom-Owned Small Business Grant

This year for Mother’s Day, we are giving a $1,500+ grant to one St. Louis Mom-owned small business to help support their business. St. Louis Mom pledges to provide the winner with a $1,500 grant, but we also invite YOU to participate. Help us give even more to local Mom-owned businesses by making a donation with each nomination – all donated funds will be lumped in with the total grant from St. Louis Mom and Burn Boot Camp!

How it Works

St. Louis Mom will accept applications and nominations beginning Sunday, April 28th through Saturday, May 4th. Finalists will be selected based on number of most nominations received and announced on Sunday, May 5th in the evening. The finalists will be featured on St. Louis Mom’s website and social media, and voting will begin to select the winner. Voting closes on Saturday, May 11th, and the winner will be announced on Mother’s Day, May 12th!

Nominate a St. Louis Mom-Owned Business

Anyone can nominate a St. Louis Mom-owned business and join the initiative! All proceeds will help provide additional grant money to support local Mom-owned businesses. The more businesses you nominate, the more impact we can make collectively to encourage local Mom business owners.

Are you a St. Louis Mom? Do you own a business? Apply to be considered for the grant while supporting other Mom-owned businesses— it’s a win-win!

Click here to add a donation to be included with the grant to one lucky business owner! (Donations are strongly encouraged but not required to apply or nominate a business).
