May is National Water Safety Awareness Month, and we’re partnering with Goldfish Swim School to share important water safety information and tons of FREE opportunities to make kids safer in and around water for Summer 2024!
First. let’s review basic water safety facts and tips that every parent needs to know as we head into beach and pool season:
- Swap Out Floaties & Puddle Jumpers for U.S. Coastguard-Approved Lifejackets
- Seek out Bright Colored Swimwear
- Enroll in high-quality, regular swim lessons beginning at age one or earlier because studies show that enrolling a child in swim lessons can reduce their chance of drowning by up to 88%.
- Designate a Water Guardian
- Ensure that there are layers of barriers to prevent kids from accessing pools or other bodies of water during non-swim times.
There are several ways that families can take advantage of water safety education opportunities with Goldfish Swim School in the coming months!
Goldfish Swim School in Warson Woods is now offering FREE Mini Lessons for Babies Up To 6-Months-Old!
It is never too early to introduce your baby to the water! Free, weekly, 30-minute mini-lessons allow you to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable, knowing certified instructors are there to support you every step of the way. Goldfish Swim School Mini Classes not only introduce water safety from the start, but also deepen the parent-infant bond in a nurturing environment. Introducing babies to water at an early age leads to better swim lesson results later!
Goldfish’s state-of-the-art facility was designed by parents for parents and includes some fin-tastic features, including:

– Changing tables

– 90-degree pool

FREE Safety Day Event on Saturday, May 18th!
Goldfish Swim School Warson Woods is hosting a FREE Community Water Safety Day Event on May 18th from 2-5 pm. All are welcome! Event highlights include family swim, safety presentations in and out of the pool, and activities from our vendor partners!

Goldfish Swim School Warson Woods is proud to partner with the USA Swimming Foundation and Every Child a Swimmer to provide a select number of fully-funded swim lessons for kids at Goldfish Swim School Warson Woods this summer!
Their goal is simply to get MORE kids into high-quality swim lessons. Thanks to the USA Swimming Foundation grant and additional funding from Every Child a Swimmer, they’re able to offer a scholarship-based program to provide free swim lessons to local families and make kids safer in and around the water.
TO APPLY: Fill out one or both of the short forms below.
USA Swimming Foundation Grant is available to children who are currently eligible for and enrolled in a State Sponsored Health Insurance Plan. This grant provides weekly swim lessons for 12 weeks.
The Every Child A Swimmer Scholarship is available to children whose families demonstrate financial need. This scholarship provides weekly swim lessons for 6 months.
