Fireworks Cruise at the Gateway Arch Riverboats

Grab a front-row seat to St. Louis’ most spectacular fireworks display. The annual Fireworks Cruise celebrates America’s independence with a night of food, drinks and fun that the whole family will love. Come aboard to enjoy the sounds of a Dixieland band and sights of downtown from the river. We’ll return to dock beneath the Gateway Arch and watch the night sky light up in celebration of the USA.

Canceled for 2026

The JB Blast, south St. Louis County’s biggest Independence Day Celebration, is returning to Jefferson Barracks Park Friday with live music, a fireworks show and food trucks. This year’s concert features music from Mirage. Food will be available for purchase from several food trucks on “food truck row.” Admission and parking are free. Blankets, picnic baskets and coolers are permitted. No glass containers allowed.

This July 4th is extra special—we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday alongside our 175th anniversary, and we can’t think of a better way to mark both milestones than with our whole community!
Join us on Saturday, July 4th, for an evening of live music from a local band, family-friendly games and activities, and a spectacular view of the West County fireworks. Our soccer field is one of the best spots in the area to watch the Ellisville-Bluebird Park fireworks display, and we’ll have free hot dogs and drinks waiting for you (while supplies last).
 
Bring your blankets and chairs, and feel free to bring your own cooler, just no glass containers, please. Pets are welcome on a leash and must be cleaned up after. Parking is free, but limited, so come early!

O’Fallon Heritage + Freedom Fest

July 1 – 4, 2026

Celebrate Independence Day at O’Fallon’s annual Heritage & Freedom Fest, a four-day family-friendly festival held at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex. From July 1st–4th, 2026, guests can enjoy carnival rides, delicious fair food, free entertainment, live music, and plenty of patriotic fun. Admission is free, with unlimited carnival ride wristbands available for purchase online in advance or at the event. Free parking, shuttles, premium parking, and ADA parking are also available.

The 2026 Heritage & Freedom Fest will feature an exciting concert lineup, including country favorites LOCASH and Lauren Alaina on July 3rd and legendary rock band KANSAS on July 4th. Both evenings will conclude with spectacular fireworks displays lighting up the night sky. Just looking for carnival fun? July 1st kicks off the festivities with Carnival Kick-off Night, while July 2nd is Family Night, offering a night of carnival rides and fair fun, with a smaller crowd.

The community is also invited to join us for our annual Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade on July 4th. The parade begins at the intersection of Civic Drive and Main Street, travels north on Main Street, turns right onto Tom Ginnever Avenue, then right onto T.R. Hughes Boulevard, and concludes just before the festival entrance. It’s a beloved Independence Day tradition and a great way to start a day of celebration.
