Who I Follow for High Protein Meal Ideas

Everywhere you look these days, you are inundated with people telling you to get more protein and fiber. It can be daunting to fit it all in, so I am sharing some of my favorite follows that share nutritious high-protein meals that are both easy and delicious.

@blaircoooley

A dietician with easy, high protein/high fiber recipes. I love her burger bowls with sauce made from Greek yogurt (I make mine with just ketchup and yogurt, so good), high protein dunkaroos (Greek yogurt, protein powder vanilla bean paste and sprinkles) and Frozen s’mores (mix chocolate protein powder into cool whip or coco whip for the s’more middle).

@lainiecooks_

A holistic nutritionist with easy delicious recipes and great Trader Joe’s finds. She has tons of cottage cheese ice cream options, but my favorites are her chicken sausage, gnocchi, and cauliflower bowls with garlic sauce, Chicken parm pasta (made with cottage cheese, chickpea noodles, and a rotisserie chicken, super easy), pumpkin mac and cheese, and Egg Life Wrap recipes like the high protein quesadilla and snack wrap.

@kalejunkie

Contrary to the name, there are not a lot of kale recipes but there are great easy meals for when you are being healthy and when you are not. I loved her recent street corn pasta salad recipe made with blended up cottage cheese and chickpea noodles, it was delicious, I served it warm. I also cannot wait to try her crispy rice salmon bowls.

@chefbae and @chloeskitchen

Both are celebrity private chefs who specialize in healthy meals. Chef Bae does dairy, gluten and refined sugar free and vegan meals but I also recently tried her Diplorito Breakfast burrito, which was none of the above, and it is now a breakfast favorite. As a private chef and cancer survivor, Chloe’s Kitchen has great anti-inflammatory recipes (I make a batch of her Miracle Broth almost weekly) that can be quick and easy or something to wow guests at your next dinner party. Most of her recipes can be found on her website as well.

Amber Marshall
Amber and her husband Justin, are navigating being first time parents in their late thirties, to their son Beckett (2019). When not baby wrangling, yelling don’t eat that or Googling how to deal with back pain, what is this rash, or is my baby teething, they are usually busy DIYing the renovations on their new home in the Metro East. In her work life, Amber works in event sales/event management full time. In the tiny amount of free time she has, you can find her perusing interior design blogs, researching clean beauty trends, exploring art fairs, antique stores, estate sales and creating her own adventures all over the city.
